week 6 blog post

 One thing I learned this week is that sharks eat sea turtles which is a big threat to their survival.


One thing I didn't understand is how bees effectively help the growth of a plant even when they are dead.


Another thing I learned this week was being reminded that stray and wild animals try and eat the turtle eggs and that the turtles benefit in this case from humans intercepting and helping.

week 13

 This week we worked on the m&ms melting in water again and used sugar to see whether they melted quicker or slower. I love this idea for children relating a common candy they are all interested in with an experiment, This is a lesson that is relatable to most of their lives. I think the way we went back to a previous activity like this one that we have done before is always a good idea because it builds prior knowledge from the first lesson and creates a more in depth understanding of a topic when we are just focused on one.
