week 12

I really liked the discussion we had at the end of the class where you had us share our findings but also explained in cases where things like tinfoil might not float and explain why that is. I think this weeks lessons taught me a lot because even the things I was making confident predictions about were not always true so that process of going through the why behind every scientific reaction taught me a lot.  I think for young children I would have them record their predictions first using a packet to record answers and the do the tests and also record this on paper so they could have somthing they could go back to and reference for future science lessons.

week 11

I really like the idea of moving around each table to do each activity because it got us all up and walking around but it also then requires less materials overall for a whole class activity I liked how you were walking around prompting us with questions about the activity and not just giving us the answers I think the pop can activity would need to be altered in a way so students could see the can sweating because we didn't get to see that with the cans at room temperature.

week 10 blog post

This week I really liked the activity of using the utensils to pick up the beans. I think its a good way to show children how the strong predators survive longer than the weak ones.   This week I also learned all the ways that technology helps children to understand science through things like simulations.  one thing I think would be good for the next semester is doing the bunny simulation this week because it aligns perfectly with technology and how predators and prey.
